Client
1109 is a national human trafficking hotline established by Greece’s National Referral Mechanism for the Protection of Victims of Trafficking (NRM), developed in partnership with A21 to provide a resource for victims and individuals reporting suspected trafficking situations.
Challenge
Create a public awareness campaign that could communicate the purpose of the hotline instantly—regardless of language, literacy level, or cultural background. The campaign needed to help vulnerable individuals recognize when and how to seek help, often in situations where time and privacy were critical.
Solution
Developed a highly visual awareness campaign centered around universal recognition rather than written communication. By pairing the hotline number with a clear phone icon and emotionally powerful imagery, the campaign immediately communicated: if you see or experience this, call this number.
The campaign was deployed nationally across public transportation systems, including bus stops, trains, and airports, creating broad visibility for a critical resource.
